This is a very well built and quite unique street rod. I want to beginby noting the exceptional driving impressions andride manners of this car. This is a comfortable and safe cruiser ready for touring and shows. This car has been featuredfrom 1999through the 2000s in Autorama shows. Autorama awards include Best in Class trice, Outstanding in Classtwice andothers. This Sedan was alsothe recepient ofStreet Rod Magazine's 30th Year Showcase - Award of Excellence.
Beginning life as a standard 1935 Chevrolet Master Sedan, this car was put intoa Texas barn where it was stored until 1955 when the Spencer family purchased it for $50.00 and towed it home with a rope. The car was 1st registered in 1962 in Big Spring, Texas. It stayed in the Spencer family for 42 years. Many records and documentation are included with this unique Chevy.
The body was massaged and refinished in '93 Mitsubishi 3000GT Monza Red Urethane Base/Clearcoat. This brillant finish shows extremely well. Much care was taken during the disassembly and restoration of this beautiful car. This'35 showcases an all steel body and 'glass running boards.
This '35 Chev.is affectionately known as the "Thumpin Special."
The uniqueness of this car is prominent in this show quality engine compartment.
This car possesses plenty of power and torque courtesy of this specially prepared 403 c.i. Oldsmobile V8 bored out to a 409 cubic Inch "Thumper." Induction is courtesy of an Edelbrock 750 series carburetor & intake manifold. Spark duties are handled by a high energy (HEI) ignition system. A Walker Cobra Radiator is paired with a slim electric fan for excellent cooling abilities in the Texas heat. The transmission of choice is a built TH350 with a trans coolerand B&M shift kit. Thenarrowed rear end is from a '79 Trans Am, featuring highway friendly 2.33 gearing and posi-traction.This car was built for the road and show circuit.
Chrome and billet aluminumare abundant throughout the engine compartment. Polished Billet wire looms, a polished overflow, distributor chrome, polished finned valve covers and much more polished aluminum and chrome is on display. The firewall is beautifully done in polished stainless steel with a beaded, exposed area showcasing the paint.

The fabulous interior is hand crafted in Tweed with Red accents. These are gray tweed Mustang Vaquero bucket seats
The dash is highlighted in Billet Aluminum, featuring Classic Instrument gauges along with a CD Stereo. The stereo is an Excedio EXCD-1000 AM/FM Stereo with Six Bass Reflex speakers. The steering column is out of a '79 Olds Toronado, featuring tilt and tele-scopic functions.
The back seat has plenty of room for your friends, children, and or grandchildren. The pillows are included.
The door panels are in excellent condition, tastefully done and the door undersides are solid.
The glass is tinted and shows well.
You'll see this elegant ladyas you float down the road. This is such a great cruiser. It brakes and steers extremely well.
This stance is coutesy of polished 15-inch wheels wrapped in 195/60R15 & 235/70R15 rubber.
Suspension duties have been upgraded and massaged to create a perfect street cruiser. The front clip is from a '74 Nova with Power Steering. The braking system is GM 4-wheel disc with a power booster and Corvette master cylinder.
The undercarriage is in excellent condition throughout. A driven example, this car has accrued just over 39,000 worry-free miles since its extensive restoration.
