1993 Ford Lightning SVT. Red original paint with gray interior.This is a bone stock truck that has spent the majority of it's life as a dailydriver with a camper shell on the back. This is a complete truck that is currently partially disassembled and not running. Restoration was started 1 year ago and has never been completed due to other intrests, the engine was removed from the truck and placed on an enginestand, the removal work was done by a Ford dealer mechanic andeverything was done right and nothing was damaged. With the exception of the upper intake the engine has never been disassembled, in fact all of the accessories including air pump, a/c, alternator, surpentine belt, headers, plug wires, fuel rails, etc,etc, are still in place. As you can see from the pictures, the transmission is still hanging in place from the firewall, and the aluminum drive shaft and rear endare still in place. Before the engine was pulled, the truck still ran strong sounded good and did not smoke, and the transmission shifted as a Lightningshould. In reality the engine could be re-installed and you would still have a good running truck. The cab of the truck is overall straight but there is rust forming in the lower front fenders and in the cab corners, both of these areas could easily be repaired with patch panels at minimal expense. I can't explain the blue hood that was done before I purchased the truck.The bed is a different story, the exterior bed sides arerough, with dings dents and rust over the wheel openingsandthe interior of the bed is perfect andlooks like it has never hauled anything and has always had a rubber mat in the floor. My plan was the find a straight rustfree bed and replace the whole thing and 1/2 of the truck would be done. The back bumper has been replaced with a roll pan, the front chin spoiler is damaged but I do have a good replacement for it and both fog lamps have broken lens.The interior of the truck although not perfect isvery nice to be almost 20 years old and has an after market jump seat between the buckets. The windshield has a BB hole low in the driver side but the rest of the glass is good and the truck does have a sliding back glass. The factory 17" aluminum wheels and centers are in great condition, but the clear coat is starting to peel. The tires are near new Pirelli Scorpions and look great. This is a project that has a lot of potential of returning to it's original beauty and muscle, and these trucks are getting more scarce as time goes on. I have tried to describe this old Lightning to the best of my ability but have probably missed something that you would like to know, if so just ask.
