1964 FORD FAIRLANE RANCH WAGON

It is time to clean out the garage and start looking for another project. I purchased this wagon 2 years ago this month from a family in Indiana. I originally purchased the car for $8500.

I have owned 18 vehicles and I must admit that this one has been one of my favorites and it draws the most attention. Everywhere I go it is a conversation starter.

A little about the car:

It has a 302 Fuel-Injected V8 in it. It also has AOD. This car will start, run, and drive anywhere you are willing to take it. I have four kids and I have never hesitated loading them all up and taking off in it. It has Mustang style disc brakes on the front and drum on the back. Power steering, and a Flowmaster exhaust system. Boy, does it ever sound tough.

Things I have done since I purchased the car:

Installed a new drive shaft. Put on Crane Roller Rockers, Under Drive Pulleys, Steel Valve Cover Gaskets, Installed a bigger Throttle Body. Then I added a Stereo (hidden in glove box) New speakers, 2 amps and a sub that is hidden in the rear. Nothing is visible. It sounds great. I had a new headliner installed. I replaced the 2 front tires about two hundred miles ago. They are 17's and as you can tell it rides on Chip Foose rims. Thistires and rims aloneis close to $2000.00. Also, if interested I still have the Torque Thrust 2's that came on the car originally. Ialso had 4.10 gears, complete with all seals and gaskets put in last spring. This car really does run great, and the gas mileage is impressive too.

Things I would do if I were to keep the car.

The gas guagedoes not work. This doesn't bother me but it might the next owner. I would probably invest in some weatherstripping. Right now the only problem area is if you take it thru the car wash water will come in thru the stripping around thefront vent window. It is also inportant to remember thatthis is a 46 year old car, so no it is not perfect. If I wanted perfect I would buy a brand new one off of my lot.

I am upfront and honestjust like I expect the next owner to be. This car is mechanically sound and it is solid. Oh yeah, It is ablast to drive too. Please do not bid if you are not interestedor if you do not have the funds to pay.
