for sale my 1963 Ford Falcon Deluxe 4 door station wagon, "Penelope" . purchased from the 2nd owner, she originally hales from Pensylvania. She has a 260 V8 w/ 3 speed manual column shift transmission and 8 in 3:25 rear end and original 5 lug suspension. Engine was rebuilt 1,800 miles ago ,hardened valve stem seals. new clutch, U joints, brakes and lines and master cylinder; recored radiator;rebuilt generator and new starter. also new tires less than 500 miles ago; also new exhaust from header pipe back (used original header pipe as it was good). new rear leaf springs and all shocks; gas tank was good and was resealed;new sending unit and fuel pump and NOS carburetor! I have also added padded dash and upgraded to 2 speed windshield wipers. also added am radio which works fine; original upholstery w/ NO tears! All lights work (including back up lights (!))

When we rebuilt her ,she had lower new rear quarters (from a rust-free California car) and new drivers side and rear floors welded in and new passenger toe board; car was repainted except for top which is original paint but could use being polished. original color J Rangoon red; red all-vinyl interior, I upgraded to carpeting; also seat belts (red) from a 1965 Ford installed front and rear for 6 passengers

Penelope is a pleasure to drive, she cruises well at 65 and I did have her up to 95 mph 2 weeks ago ( A Mercedes tried to pass her but she successfully defended her honor).all systems work well and she maintains her engine temp in the mid range on factory guage. also she handles reasonably well for that period car.

front suspension appears to have been rebuilt before I purchased her in 1998

she could use a carb adjustment (she runs a little rich) and rear main seal leaks a little so she leaves a couple of oil drops on driveway

She draws a lot of attention and conversations where she travels and several people have made offers. I don't want to sell her but I'm looking at college for my children so I told my wife I'd list her...serious bidders are invited to view her; there are extra parts including a set up to add power rear window but I like the crank, She is currently registered but I also have the original Pa title; I reserve the right to end the auction early

On Feb-04-12 at 09:03:33 PST, seller added the following information:

also has an fm converter in glove box, works well; also missing left falcon emblem, specific to 63 wagons
