The Shelby GT500 is one of the most collectible Mustang's of all time. This beautiful example is an early production (#329) Shelby and is listedin the Registry. It was originally slated for delivery to a customer through Hi Performance Motors Inc, the order however was apparently cancelled. The car was shipped to El Paso Auto Center in El Paso, Texas on 7/26/67. This car remained in maintained original condition through the 1990s. It was treated to an extensive professional restoration, completed in 9/04. Today, this Shelby is proudly displayed in Texas Classic Cars of Dallas' showroom. It was recently inspected at our facilities by Shelby guru Craig Conley of Paradise Wheels, Inc. The engine, transmission, and rear end are correct. This car retains excellent factory sheetmetal throughout. Also, the Ford serial number stampings are all intact as is the Shelby identification plate.

We have the original Shelby window sticker and Marti Report. There were 472,209 Mustangs produced in 1967, of which 2,048 were built as GT500s. This is one of 102 Wimbleton white GT500s produced in 1967, of these 79 were equipped with black decor seats. 49 had no air conditioning or thermactor system. This car (#329) is one of those Shelbys.
