Early '62 (one of first 558 produced, only 1,427 for entire 1962 production run)

2-year EXTENSIVE restoration project recently completed, she is ready for your immediate and long-term enjoyment. Restoration work includes:

Mechanical: New - fuel tank, fuel lines, carburetor with kickdown, heads (period correct), intake manifold, exhaust manifold (1), exhaust system, generator, voltage regulator, battery, convertible top cylinders, top by-pass sytem (installed byJNM Performance (Marcel Cote) of Claymont, DE - this is an excellentimprovement that eliminates the quirkiness of the top systems), rear springs and shocks, chrome expansion tank, front-end alignment, etc.

Cosmetic: New - paint, tires (tubes and bands), front seats have just been re-upholstered (including covers and foam - back seats are in great shape, as they have spent most of their life under tonneau cover), floor mats (not pictured - I am keeping clean for new owner), door sill plates (again, not installed - keeping clean for new owner), full set of new engine compartment decals (I have not installed as I kind of liked the originals), driver's side window glass (I also have 2 front quarter windows that have not been installed - there are small scratches in the original windows (almost looks like the markings of a scorned party, armed with a diamond ring - but this is pure speculation on my part). I have various parts and accessories that will be included with the purchase.

Tonneau cover is original and has been repainted.

Other: engine compartment appears to be original and clean (it was not repainted during my restoration work), Kelsey Hayes wheels are in great shape - I have an additional NOS set of knock outs that I will include with purchase (original knock outs are a bit pitted). Trunk shots were taken to show the counter weights. I noted that the shots show the interior trunk lining out.I want youto know that IDO have the lining and will re-install prior to sale.

Additional information- I have build sheet, which indicated that car originally came with 2 power seats. Driver's seat is now manual, but passenger seat is power. She's been kept in my garage, covered (cover comes with the car) when not having work done, onthe infrequent casual drive,or at the Memorial Day parade. I have compiled a book with all receiptsfor work performed and parts acquiredduring my stewardship, this will be forwarded.

General description - car is very clean, runsvery quietly and smoothly, undercarriage is clean - she's just a great car and ready to find a home. Although the market has been soft the last couple of years, it appears to be firming. At the height, these cars were bringing significantly more ($75,000 - $90,000 for non M-Code cars) so I believe there isupside room, provided you are ready to enjoy her for a few years.
