It is a 1963 Mercury Comet, probably the nicest original in existence. OK, so those wheels are not original. Look at all the pictures and you will see that I have all 5 original wheels and tires with all 4 original mint hubcaps.I bought this car July 4th, 2010 with only 10,847 miles on it. This car now has 11,776 actual miles and after seeing it in person no one has ever disputed that. It has the original Sultana White paint with all original light beige and tan aristocrat fabric interior. Seats, carpet, headliner, and sun visors look absolutely brand new! As you can see in the pictures all of the exterior trim,stainless, anodized aluminum, chrome, including bumpers is mint! This car is absolutely rust free. It does have dealer installed undercoating. The floorpans under the carpet still have factory red oxide primer that is clean and in perfect condition. The drivetrain is all original and untouched as well, 170 six cylinder with 2 speed MercoMatic transmission. It runs and drives as perfect as a 49 year old car can. I replaced the fuel tank, sending unit, fuel pump, and front wheel cylinder.This car still has the original muffler and exhaust pipe on it! I know this is a touchy subject, but this would make a killer street machine! It needs no paint or interior work, just needs updated drivetrain, discbrakes etc., or just continue driving as it is. This car gets as much or more attention than any of the many cars that I have owned. This is the first Ford product I have ever owned, the only reason I bought it is because it one the nicest original cars I have ever seen in 40 year of owning more than a few low mileage original cars!
