1937 Oldsmobile Coupe

Currently, I am cleaning out my barn to get room for other projects. Up for sale is a 1937 Oldsmobile F37 Business coupe with a straight six flathead engine and 3-speed trans. This car needs a little TLC to get it to be a daily driver.

I purchased this project from a gentleman that had been restoring the car for over 10 years. The body was removed from the frame and the frame and body were stripped, primered and top coated. I was told that the engine, trans and brakes were rebuilt. I recently had the block flushed and the radiator recored with fresh coolant added instead of water. The car runs and drives with the brakes needing a bleed. I have a clear Nevada title. Listed below are the items that are new or rebuilt and a list of items that need to be completed.

Exhaust – New exhaust system installed with hangers.

Electrical-Complete new fused wire harness installed for a 6 volt system. New Optima 6 volt battery with billet mount located in engine compartment.

Cooling system- The radiator recored.

Body- New glass and rubber, weather stripping and grommets. Body work and paint are OK for a driver, but needs TLC if you want to show the car. Chrome is bubbling on the hood louvers and hub caps. Running boards have new rubber installed. New fuel tank installed with sending unit.

New white wall tires (no spare is included).

Interior – Front seat, front kick panels, door panels have been reupholsted in a light grey with white piping (see pictures). Head liner is new and partially installed. Back jump seats are missing and do not come with the car. New light charcoal cab carpet with jute pad is included. Additional carpet and upholstery fabric is included to finish back seat side panels and trunk.

What needs to be finished?

Carb needs some TLC (adjusting)

Heater, horn and clock need to be hooked-up. Interior overhead light needs to be installed.

Drivers kick panel, sun visors, arm rests and cab carpet needs to be installed. New partially installed headliner needs to be finished with all garnish moldings installed. Backseat side panels need finishing and jump seats obtained or fab’d up. Trunk area needs plywood piece cut/installed over spare tire area. New trunk carpet installed.

The driver’s door needs adjustment or tweaking to close easily. The area on the body directly behind the driver’s door will need some body work (see picture). Trunk weather stripping needs to be replaced and the trunk lid adjusted. Front grille emblem had a small piece broken off, needs brazing and rechrome. New windshield wiper blades are required.

The original air cleaner, battery tray, shop manual, misc. parts and new weather stripping are also included. I might have missed a few items, please review the attached pictures.

No shipping is offered for this item. The buyer must pick the item up within 14 days after close of auction. Payment- a $500 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of close of auction with the remaining paid when item is picked-up. I will help load car on buyer’s trailer if required. Buyer is responsible to coordinate pick-up by third party transporter. Item is sold “As-is�, no warranties or returns accepted.
