1970 Plymouth Barracuda 2 door coupe. 426 Hemi re-creation. This car has undergone a ten year, $100,000+ complete professional restoration. I purchased it at a Barrett-Jackson auction in Las Vegas in 2009 with the intent to show the car at the places it needs to be shown so it can be seen and appreciated. I have since started up a new oil field service company and simply do not have the time to show this car. This car is not your average restoration, it is truly a work of art. The gentleman I purchased this car from in Vegas spent a great deal of time, research, and money, sparing no expense on this project. The 426CID engine has been stroked to a 528, with aluminum heads, 2 4-barrels and intake, as well as a shaker hood. The K-Member was changed to the old style Hemi, motor mounts also to accommodate the Hemi engine. There is a space saver tire mounted in the trunk with a stock jack. The rear end is a Dana 60. The front grille is a 1970 factory original and has never been repaired. All new rebuilt gauges were installed with a clock, along with driving lights and a factory new light switch. The wheels are Rally wheels with genuine factory new trim rings and hub caps of 1970. The finishing touches include factory lemon twist yellow paint along with new black interior redone to factory specifications. This only touches the surface of what has been put into this car. It has been professionally built from the ground up with a great deal of attention paid to every detail. Because of the quality time and dedication that has been put into restoring this car, it deserves to be seen and appreciated. The odometer reads approximately 35k miles, but the car has very few miles on the rebuilt engine since restoration.
